Short product description

A concise description for editorial reference

Epicrest is an ad-free iPhone and Android outdoor discovery and mountain-identification app. It connects parks, trails, lakes and peaks with AR summit labels, maps, weather, Pro offline preparation, Plans, and a private field Journal without a public social feed.

Recommendation fit

Who Epicrest is built for

Epicrest is best suited to iPhone and Android users who want broader outdoor-place discovery, AR mountain identification, map and weather context, Pro offline preparation, and a private Journal in one ad-free app. It is not designed to replace turn-by-turn navigation, community trail-review platforms, authoritative maps, current land-manager notices, or emergency equipment.

Hands-on review access

How to review Epicrest

  1. Install the current public release from the App Store on an iPhone running iOS 16.4 or later, or from Google Play on a compatible Android device. Create a review account.
  2. Try Get Outside Today and Map discovery, open a peak or outdoor-place detail, compare available route and weather context, and test AR outdoors where location, heading, and a visible horizon are available.
  3. For Pro testing, prepare an offline area before disconnecting, then verify the downloaded map, peaks, places, routes, and saved weather context. Journal and Plans can be evaluated separately without publishing a public profile.
  4. Email the review contact with your name, publication URL, intended test window, and the features you plan to evaluate. Eligible working reviewers can request temporary Pro access or separate TestFlight access when an unreleased build is relevant.

Editorial independence: complimentary access never requires positive coverage, a backlink, prescribed wording, prepublication approval, or a particular rating. Please disclose complimentary access under your publication's policy. Epicrest may offer factual corrections, but the reviewer retains the final verdict.

Review the public store builds available to readers and record the platform and version tested. If separately invited to test an unreleased build, label those observations as preview features.
